JELD-WEN’s secret to longer-lasting wood windows and doors is an exclusive manufacturing process that protects against wood rot, water saturation, and termites. This process is how we make AuraLast Wood. Unlike dip-treated wood, which is common in the industry, JELD-WEN’s vacuum pressure process forces the protective ingredients all the way through to the core of the wood for virtually 100% penetration. We use a closed-loop, water-based system, which reduces volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) by 96% compared to the ordinary method of dip-treating wood in open vats of petroleum-based fluids. Our intense, vacuum pressure process also results in using less preservative to achieve an even greater level of effectiveness. The reliability of AuraLast wood is only available at JELD-WEN.

Standard clear Poplar 2-1/2″ Ranch or Colonial style casing covers paint lines for a finished appearance. Casing is also available in Oak and 3-1/2″ wide.

Fiberglass doors are available in three finish textures. Not all door styles or sizes are available in all textures.

Insulated Core

Entry systems feature an environmentally-friendly insulation that is 100% CFC-free (Chloro Fluoro Carbon) to provide a high R-value for maximum thermal protection.

Improved Door Frames

Composite polyfiber frames will never absorb moisture or splinter. Wincore’s standard composite frame will not rot like their wood counterpart, nor will they rust like a steel framed door.

Rot-free Brickmould

A Wincore® standard, brickmould is constructed of a durable composite material to resist rot, decay and damage from insects. Customizable up to 4″.

Security Strike Plate

Where applicable, a steel security strike plate adds extra strength to help prevent forced entry.

Security Protection

Grade 1 is the highest level of security for residential deadbolts.

Dust Box

The dust box, located beneath the deadbolt strike, provides a barrier to air infiltration and also conceals the deadbolt latch.

Ball Bearing Hinges

Ball bearing hinges are standard for inswing doors – featuring four-point attachments to the door and the door frame for a lifetime of dependability. For certain applications (like French Doors), adjustable hinges are also available.

Advanced Sill Design

The sill’s innovative design prevents rotting, warping or deterioration over time. Incorporating a high dam overlap cap in addition to the 1-3/8″ sill height creates a tough barrier against water penetration. Door sills are available in mill finish, satin nickel and bronze.

Door Bottom Sweep

The double bulb sweep maintains maximum surface contact with the threshold rail, consistently outperforming competitive products by encapsulating both the outside and inside edges of the rail.

Weathertight Seal

Energy efficient Q-Lon weather stripping provides a weathertight seal along the sides and top of the door frame and interlocks with the Simple Solution Corner Pad ensuring the most energy efficient seal available for keeping moisture, air and dirt out of your home.

Doorlite Frame

High-performance, doorlite frames are heat-resistant and will not warp, crack or fail to adhere to the door, even in most intense climates.

HAPS-free (Hazardous Air Pollutants) paints and stains are applied by highly-trained, skilled craftsmen in a climate-controlled environment. Wincore® doors are protected with a clear coat and oven-cured for maximum durability.
